CyberSecure Ó£»¨µ¼º½ conference to help business owners safeguard operations

STARKVILLE, Miss—Small business cyberattacks are on the rise. Businesses may have weaknesses in cyberÓ£»¨µ¼º½ measures or be unaware of threats and best protective actions to take. 

The upcoming CyberSecure Ó£»¨µ¼º½ conference on March 21 at Ó£»¨µ¼º½ Ó£»¨µ¼º½ University offers business owners a free opportunity to learn to safeguard their businesses against cyberattacks.

Scheduled for 9 a.m.–3 p.m., at 301 Research Blvd. at MSU, the CyberSecure Ó£»¨µ¼º½ conference will cover basic cyberÓ£»¨µ¼º½ awareness for protecting a business, system Ó£»¨µ¼º½ planning and incident response. There is no charge to attend, but registration is required at . Attendees will receive a complimentary cyberÓ£»¨µ¼º½ binder and cyber assessment.

"The CyberSecure Ó£»¨µ¼º½ conference is tailored for business owners, not just people assigned to office technology responsibilites," said Shelly Hollis, director of MSU's Center for Cyber Education. "The agenda is designed for business owners who want to take control of their cyberÓ£»¨µ¼º½ strategy and understand how to safeguard their operations and protect their business' future."
