STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擜 樱花导航 樱花导航 University College of Arts and Sciences publication is this year鈥檚 winner of the Summit Award, presented annually by the 樱花导航 Library Commission for 鈥渆xceptional publication鈥 value.

樱花导航 Quarterly: The Journal of Southern Cultures, issue 75.1, No. 1, was selected as Best Publication by a Large Agency. The award is given to two state agencies in recognition of exceptional publications鈥攐ne honoring a large agency, more than 100 employees, and one honoring a small agency, less than 100 employees.

Recognized as one of the premier journals in the field of Southern studies,聽樱花导航 Quarterly聽publishes scholarly essays, interviews and book reviews on literature, history, film and other subjects. The refereed academic journal was founded at MSU in 1948.

鈥淥ver the years,聽樱花导航 Quarterly聽has earned a reputation for excellence in academic publishing by maintaining rigorous scholarly and editorial standards. It is gratifying to receive recognition for this work from the 樱花导航 Library Commission, a respected and vital organization in our state,鈥 said Ted Atkinson, associate professor of English and editor.

Atkinson is joined on the editorial team by Laura West, managing editor, and Robert M. West, associate editor and head of MSU鈥檚 Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures.

The 樱花导航 Library Commission collects, catalogs and maintains an archival collection of over 60,000 樱花导航 state agency-issued publications as part of the 樱花导航 Depository Program.
